Hi I just wanted to ask a quick question. I'm fairly new to credit, I only have 3 cards of my own and i'm an authorized user on one card.

To give more info I have the following cards

Capital One QS1 - $100 balance - $800 CL

Kohls - $0 balance - $300 CL

Old Navy $19 balance - $300 CL

I'm also an authorized user on an American Eagle store card $0 balance - $800 CL

Since I first start building my credit in may (when i turned 18) I keep receiving offers from American Express offering me their cards. I received one for the Everyday Credit card and one for the Gold card.. I know with my short credit history i will be declined so i don't respond.

My question is how long do I have to wait to be approved for a card like that? My oldest card is 3 months Should I wait till the 6 month mark or 1 year?

Also when I check the offers on the American Express website it matches me to one "exclusive offer" for the Amex Everday Credit. I appericate any help. I just want to make sure I don't mess my credit up early.

Definitely wait at least 6 months. And as Irish said, try to find out your actual EX Score since that's what Amex usually pulls.
