Comenity Verification Letter

Hello All,

I applied for Bealls Florida credit card and received the 7-10 day message. Today I received the letter from comenity asking me to call within the next 14 days to verify the information provided. I called Comenity and started the process, but then was told that was all they needed, and they didn't ask me any of the verifying questions. They proceeded to tell me that I will get a final decision within 7 to 10 days.

Has anyone gone through this and received a positive outcome? An approval? Or is this just a denial? I don't understand if it's a denial, why not just send that letter and not waste more time going through all the inconvenience.

I'm hoping that since I have other comenity cards,, maybe there is no additional need for verification and that I get an acceptance via the mail. If anyone has experienced this, please share. thanks

I got the verification letter 2 days ago for modell's, called in right after verified credit report identifying questions and got my approval and limit at the end of the call.

That's weird. I got one Comenity vertification letter for Pottery Barn Card earlier this week. I called them a couple of days ago. I got approved after answering ID. question.

Yes, it's very weird. I normally get asked 3 questions and then they tell me right away if I was approved. But this time, they told me, nothing else was needed and that they will let me know of a decision 7-10 days.

This stinks.

Try to register online without the card to see if you get approved.

You can use those cards on the sisters store. Those cards one of my earlier SCT.

Nope, no luck registering for the account.

After receving the verification letter, and after calling in....it either goes two ways. YOu get approved, and they tell you right then and there, or they tell you youll get a letter. If you get the "letter" response AFTER calling into verification, its a 99% denial.

I did last week.... applied for Virgin America visa, got 7-10day.... recieved same letter was told same thing... they never ask any questions...... called back later on that day... pick this lady mouth when she said I would recieve a letter... I said it was denied right.... she said yes..... don't understand the point of sending letter but whatever. I think mines was bcus my Experian and Transunion reports were frozen when I called in............................

Thank you! This is what I was afraid of. It's a waste of a HP and our time! My credit is not frozen, but I think I have too many recent inquirires which may be the reason for the denial. I think it's time for me to garden!

> short & sweet You got it!.. They just wanted to Make sure it ws you who applied > Watch you'll see.. they didn't want to waste your time... you would have said no.. i didn't apply... but that wasn't the case.. so they cut the call short.

I had that happen with 2 Comenity accounts I had applied for, Lane Bryant for my mother in law to use and PacSun. Both times when I called to verify they told me I would be notified by mail, when I've always been approved before following verification. Got letters in the mail saying they couldn't verify my idenity and if I wanted to reapply or the card, I had to wait 30 days.
