Without regards to your income, you could benefit from the Citi Premier if you travel. Your 5x TYP from your citi forward would transfer nicely to the premier. has 50-60k signup bonus but min spend could be high for your income.

what does chase say for prequals? what about citi? scores look fine enough just not sure about income for the CSP. Do you really want to earn UR points with chase? It works best when paired with your freedom, The 5 accounts or less in 2 years wont be an issue for you which is great.

Also why do you want a 2% card with Citi, and another 2% with fidelity? And then also why would you consider a venture 1 that only does 1.25%?

If I were you I would 100% not get the venture 1. Waste of 3 pulls. Best scenario would be you would end up with a 1.5% quicksilver and a 1.25 v1, but why would u even need that with a citi DC or a a fideltiy?

I would do this: research if there is a min income for the Premier. Try to grab the highest bonus if you can meet the min spend. Maybe get an AU card if you need help from parents on the min spend. Then if you feel the card isnt a fit for you, you could PC it to the Double Cash or something else.

Hi All! It's been a while since I've been on the forum and even apped for a card. I'm thinking about apping again and looking for some Advice.

Cards I want to app for: CSP, Citi AA Plat, Citi DC, C1 Venture One, And the Fidelity Visa/ Amex. Not in any order, Just gonna app for 2 ATM.

Scores: EQ: 721 EX: 716 TU: 716

AAOA: 2 years

Income: 20,000 (I live at home, so no mortgage, Still a student too).

Inquiries: None since January of last year.

However I do owe 2,700 on my SW card and 2,100 on my Forward card. All my other cards are paid off/ Constantly getting paid off. I should have all my debt gone within the next 3 months. So my question is, can I app for any of the cards, or should I 0 out my cards before even thinking about apping again?

Thank you !

The credit profile looks good. Just not sure with the income? I will let some of the others with experience chime in. I would say you would get the DC and the Cap 1. Good luck though.

J- I do travel, just not as often as I'd like . Are TYP even worth much anymore? Citi says that I'm pre-qualified for their Simplicity card, but It aso shows what cards I may be interested in as well: DC, AA Plat, Premier, and TYP. Chase shows me nothing, but that's usual, I have 2 cards from them anyways. I've heard people as low as 15k income getting it...

I eat out a lot, so my plan is to get the CSP, close my Forward card, and get the AA or the DC instead of it. Plus, Chase has a lot of good partners to transfer points too.

I wasn't planning to get both, just one or the the other. The reason I'd like to try for the Ventureone is because I don't think I would be able to get the 5k minnimum on the Venture. I can always upgrade later on once my income goes up. I fly quite a bit with AA, so that's why i want to try for it. There isn't a minnimum income for the Premier, but their lowest limit granted is 1,000. My only scare is the debt on my SW and Forward card will cause denial, but I'm nearly done paying them off. I can easily meet the spend if I let my parents on as AU. My fear is I'll get denied for the cards I want have too many inquiries for the cards I could've gotten, if that makes any sense.

I think you should pay down your cards first. They're at rather high utilization right now and if you app now, you won't get as great terms. Wait it out a bit.

If it is for 50k miles, app for this one. I would ignore the others. Your Citi history will help with the AA, the AA will be directly useful in your travels, but your high utilization will hurt other apps, and your income will limit your ability to get through the $3k spend. Multiple bonus spend on a $20k annual income does not sound like fun to me
