DISCOVER CLI

How often would you say you can request a CLI on Discover via the website. Not requiring a hard pull of course. Also wondering what everyones high CL is on their Discover I typically request an increase every 6 months or so and am currently at a 12.5k. I'm wondering what they cap out at. Thanks!

Take a look at the approvals section, there are people that lately got 3 CLIs in 6 weeks (every 2), others 3 weeks apart for 3 times. Before that people usually get CLIs every 3 months or 6 months. Some people are stuck for many more months.

Read this thread on a whim before going to bed. Decided to try even though my last cli was two months ago. Automatically increased 1500 bucks up to 7500 overall

I'm one of the stuck ones. Every time I request one, they say they have to HP, which I then decline.

both me and my gf got 1k increases about a month ago.

tonight just tried it and got 1k for each acct again.

I received an increase of 3k about 2-3 months ago, 1k increase about 1-2 months ago and I just pulled the trigger again this morning and received an additional 3k, all via SP!

I opened my Discover IT account on 03/20/14. SL was 3K. I requested increases every 2-4 weeks via online button, online chat, and phone menu with no success until...

03/31/15 - 1K increase

04/16/15 - 1.5K increase

05/05/15 - 1.5K increase

^All soft pull via online button

So I went from 3K to 7K in a little over a month after not getting any increase for my first year

After about a year of no increase with discover I received an auto increase of $1000. Then three months later received SP increase via the website for $2500. Three months later ( today ) I received an increase of $4000. Bring my total line to $16,500.

I'm going to experiment over the next two months to see if I can't boost the CL to $20K.

On the other part of the question, there have been posts of limits of $40K or more

Just a follow up...it's been a month since my 4K CLI. I requested a couple weeks back and received a message "Not enough experience with Discovers Credit Limit."

I think this is a default message if the request for CLI is sooner than 2 weeks.

However, tonight I tried again and bingo!!! Another $2,500 CLI.

I'm going to keep trying every 2-3 weeks until they say STOP. If the next increase is less than $1000 it might be a good sign to stop.

I just got off the phone with a Credit Analyst and was told you could have two request every 90 days but they have to be at least 30 days apart.

I just hit the luv button and got $4000 increase.........last increase was on May 20th, 2 others prior to that......4 increases in less than 2 months I will try it again in approximately 18 days! Now I have to change my profile info again! This is exciting!

Looks like my CLI luck might be over. Today is day 18 since last increase. Received no cannot approve at this time will send letter in 5-10 days.

I might try again in two weeks. And if cannot get approved will wait the full 90 days.

So stuck, ain't even funny. Have my original $6,000 since I opened the darn card. REALLY?! Called two weeks ago, did a sp and told couln't give increase at this time. P.S., been with Discover since 2007. Not sure if high utilitzation is the problem, but no negs/lates/missed payments on cr. Not sure what to do next.

High utilization probably is the problem, but congrats on your headway with Credit One. Reign utilization in and Discover will notice. Realize you did get a nice SL of $6k to begin with... Don't lose hope.
