Hey everyone, it's been a while since I last posted after my rejection for an NFL rewards card in July.

Today, I decided to apply for an Amazon reward card, which appears to be through Chase. The rewards were decent and it offered a 50$ gift card reward.

My gf had gotten one recently with a significantly lower score than myself.

I also already have a chase freedom card with a 1500 CL.

Long story short, I was denied for this card.

My question is, why would I be accepted months ago for a freedom and denied for this? I can't seem to wrap my head around that logic

I was too back in May. The reason wast too many recemt inquires. I had maybe 5 in 6 months and 7 in the last 2 years. Then come August, I was approved for 12 cards that month. two of them were the CSP and Slate. I apped for those cards early in the spree. But, it seemed weird that I didn't get accepted for the Amazon card 3 month earlier and get those 2, 3 months later. Of those cards, the CSP in theory, is a harder card to obtain. Sorry for your denial.

So I must say, I got the 30 day message, which I thought was code for Denial, but I've read that isn't always the case.

Ive had a car loan.... Never missed a payment... Been paying for over two and a half years now... Never late or anything. My oldest card is now 7 months old.

The he only thing I could grab quickly was the FICO report I receive with discover. On my last statement it was 747.

never any late or missed payments on the cards either

op- also call the 800 number for chase credit card application status and see what the lady says regarding when you will hear from them. if its 10 days, provably a denial. but, show chase 3-6 months of use and payment history and they are more than willing to extend credit to people once they know you a little bit
