Comenity Bank 7-10 day Message

While I love Pottery Barn... Free interior design services with purchase and Credit card, I applied for credit card and received the message. I receive the letter asking me to call in verify information. They had my address as an apartment instead of sfr.Ask personal information questions but didn't give me instant approval.say it will be processed and I will get something in 7-10 days again. Anyone else had this experience? I'm sorry for paragraph..

ok, Im confused.

Did you already receive the verification letter, and you called in??

If thats the case, one of two things happens, sometimes three. After calling in for verification from the letter you got it usually goes like this:

1).. Verififed, and they approve you on the spot, and tell you your limit.

2). Verify you, and then tell you that you'll receive a letter with the decision. (this is usually 97% denial).

3). Verify you, and then say you'll get a letter with the decision. ( sometimes, maybe a 5% chance that after your verification, they sent it for review, and you might get the card in the mail.) This is rare.

Its usually approved or not approved with Comenity, and there is NO recon with them.

So...if you got verified on the phone AFTER you got the letter to call in after applying, and they said wait for another letter...Im gonna say its probably denied.

This has happened to me anytime I applied for a card from Comenity. I was either instantly approved online, or got the verification letter and then approved. If the guy told me on the phone AFTER i verified things with him that I'm getting another letter...It was declined.

I applied the same card last month. I got 7-10 days message. I got a letter to call last week. I got approved after answering security question. They pulled EQ.

When I applied for Modells, I got the 7-10 message, then the verification letter; called in and verified my information including my zodiac sign and received my approval and credit limit.

I felt like they denied the application. I was approved for VS 500. Thought I would give it a try.Just had cli CO QS now 3k.

I really wanted that card! I love Pottery Barn. Maybe I will work part-time for holidays.the clerk told me they receive 40% discount for being an employee!

That could be an alternative and you can save some $$$ since you're going to shop there anyway.

Sorry to say, but this is usually a denial. You will receive a letter stating that they were unable to verify your identity.

If you call they will tell you that you need to wait 30 days from the time you submitted the application to reapply again.

i don't have the vast eperience with Comenity as everyone else but I was able to get a 2nd review of a Virgin application. I sent a letter to the President's office who then sent it for a 2nd review. I was still denied due to an old BK. The President's office is the one who sent me the 2nd denial. That may have being too much but I had nothing to lose but 2 minutes of my time and a stamp. You were exactly correct. Received a letter they could not verify identity but they never asked me any security questions. Reapply in 30 days and apply in store for immediate verification. Maybe better luck!

Im confused also, I received the 7 to 10 day message, and then received letters in the mail to call to verify information for both cards. Victoria Secret and Express. I called and spoke to a rep when I received the letters, she said she could update/verify the info for both cards/letters. Well I verfied all info and she still didnt say I was approved or anything. I later received a letter from Victoria Secret saying to try again in 30 days that was the card I really wanted. I still haven't received any notification from the Express account . This has been over 2 weeks that I spoke to the rep and the actually 7-10 letter was sent at the end of May. Shouldn't I get a letter or denial ?? Should I call again? or Just hope that they send me an actual denial letter? The Inquiry is on my report of course....

Update: received the Express card with 250$limit. Still nothing from Victoria Secret. I called Comenity and they asked me the same security questions and said I'd get a letter after they reviewed everything. Its now August...I will let my dream of a Pink Card go for now....Maybe next year.......
