Where do you go to check DCU credit card application status?

Can someone tell me how to find the application status on the DCU web page.

dci landing page, under where it says "get loans", click on visa. go to credit card tab, type in email addres for returning member. its best to just call once you have membership number. as u see i made some stupid mistakes and the app that says declined went pending for weeks before i called, they declined right away. the second one is still waiting its decline.

That web interface looks very NASA'ish. I'm assuming they use the same or similar platform? IIRC, SDFCU uses one very similar.

So, I enrolled in DCU just the other day and wondering if I should look into their Platinum Rewards. I got approved for Alliant FCU (Membership & CC) on Monday - easiest CU application/memebership I've ever done IME!

DCU is not great looking but they have some useful features like a live chat. but boring interface. i noticed alliant changed their platform when I logged in but they are not that into me right now with any of their products.

Nasa takes the cake at worst layout / navigation but dcu is at least a little more user friendly although they lack a good interface.

I think you hit it right on the nail - so true! Well, the majority of CU's in general have lower budgets when it comes to IT infrastructure so the current "shared" web platform or portals is no surprise. NASA was definitely an interesting experience to say the least. Definitely clonky but I suppose it does the job.

When I joined Alliant they had literally just "refreshed" their website so I can't recall what the old one looked like. I suppose no loss on Alliant since PenFed ended up giving you the moon and thensome!!! In my Alliant CC app, I requested $15K and got it. Now, whether DCU feels the same sensuousness toward me will remain to be seen

The old Alliant site was very similar to it is now except the layout was not so compact and nicer put together. i have had an account with them for about a year. whats crazy is i used to think penfed was a boring site. but they are much bigger than the other credit unions so they should. sorry to hijack your post op! i love different layouts of lenders!

OP- let us know what the results say under the status page when u check. FinStar you are right,, no need for alliant when penfed is liking me.

Here was my experience.
I applied to DCU yesterday online. I called and asked prthem if they would please finish processing my application. They sent me an email with a link to download a copy of my drivers license and utility bill. I did so. I got an alert a couple hours ago that they pulled EQ. I then got an email fro DCU welcoming me and a second email telling me I was approved. Neither emails had my member # on it. I'll see what cones in the mail.

They mail pretty fast. U will get all the member sign info needed and pin separately but quickly

Oh ddemari, ddemari, ddemari... So I decided to take the plunge with their Platinum Rewards Visa after all this interesting stuff you shared about DCU. Now, I didn't have my DCU membership number (still new) but when I called, a very cool CSR explained to me the process on how to apply since the system will recognize that I have the membership already (all I had to upload was my DL).

So, onward to the clonky, NASA'ish web interface (ah the memories!). Surprisingly, there were less fields to navigate through and everything pretty much auto-populated. A clickitty click here, click there, submit... little wheel spinny... and ta-da! Is this common for DCU to do instant approvals? Now, ganted, I'm sure a loan officer can still review and decide but I certainly did not expect this at all

So, then I checked the loan status just to see what would display and there it was! Overall, happy with the outcome with DCU. Of course, I'm going to give it a few days in case they request for additional documents and whatnot.

Wow I'm jealous!! Even then saying to instant approval in their status box is like we like u! I have read they are commonish/ pre-approvals populate for people too. Nice job their!!!! It's hard not to roll the dice sometimes! Big congrats to u!!!

The request can happen I have read. I uploaded my DL and social for them and they still are pending that one app of mine lol. Congrats again! I got their visa debit card in mail today, it's flat like a old quick silver but lighter but i like it in a weird way! Although I won't use it really lol. I've never seen a cc of theirs up close and personal. Great limit! Nice apr!! Congrats again

NASA really takes the prize at the most grueling interface and ability to check status do anything compared to even the border borderline antiquated banks lol.

Thanks ddemari!! I was really, really surprised to be honest! CUs tend to be picky sometimes. And the CL is perfect! Heck, you did soooo much better on PenFed than I did but it's all good. I wasn't sure how "welcoming" they tend to be given my new accounts in the past few months (oh and the inquiries...ooops!) but it seems they were not deterred by them. I'm going to see if I get an email requesting more info (or maybe decrease the CL lol)! Hopefully it stays this way.

I agree on rolling the dice. Plus, I figured nothing to lose, and if not approved, at least I got the membership and would try next year. See what you did!!! LOL

The whole application process was very interesting because you don't know which card you're applying for (Rewards vs non-Rewards) until the end. At first, I had to cancel it and start over just to make sure I was in the right place or clicked the correct link. Then, once you get to the last section, it provides the 2 choices. Now, I didn't really need the low APR CC as this APR was just fine for me since I PIF anyway. So, I'll take a pic for you when I get it since I've never seen one in person either!

I agree. I'm definitely going to see about a PLOC with them (in the distant future) and I'm sure I'll have to go through their clonky site for that (I'll need a cocktail to ease the navigation process ). Last time I checked the loan status site, they had moved some links around but it was still stuck in the prehistoric age LOL.

I agree on all of that. I'm in IL and when i called dcu the girl didn't understand why I wanted membership living in the Midwest lol. It wasn't until moderator revelate sold me on penfed losening up to app again with them. I'll try for a dcu in a year like I did after penfer membership. I signed into nasa recently too and noticed a little change but after 2 seconds signed out cause it was basically blank page lol.

Dcu site has a prequel tab, maybe one day they will have an offer for me. I'm excited to see how the penfer prequal offers eventually work. 18 months in and nothing yet but maybe now that I have loan products and they are soft pulling my EQ now which they never did before.

I was a prime Egyptian for penfed when they instant approved me back to back so I couldn't believe it. Dcu basically said I we an Egyptian though lol
