i am thinking of appl for the cap1 venture my scores are EX 701, TU 697, EQ 674 few new recent accounts. Inquiries EX12 TU11 EQ7.

Are those FICO 08 scores? Because cap1 tends to pull 04 scores for Venture apps. If your 04 scores are anywhere near those scores though, you should be golden. Have you checked the prequal site though? Just to see what comes up?

they all are from my FICO 8 updated today and i did the pre qual and i was offered the platinum and the quicksilver witch is i have about 7 months ago. i did a cli the reason account too new

I was able to get some nice CLIs on my QS1 MasterCard with really heavy usage (i.e. maxing and PIF multiple times each month).

As for your Venture question... let me just say that the pre-qual recommendations are really solid for most folks. This being said, I have read of folks doing a cold-app for Venture and being approved (with it not being on their pre-qual), but it's really iffy.

If you're not concerned about the HPs you could give it a shot. If you're wanting to conserve your inquiries, though, I would be hesitant until it was in the pre-qual if it were me.

I wish I had better news, but the good news is that the Venture isn't going anywhere, and the 40,000 mile promo has been around forever as well, so it will likely still be offered when you have more solid odds for approval.

thank you for the help but i don't want also to jeopardise my amex cli next month fro too many inquiries other than that i will give it a shot. but you are right i can wait but you know how time can be painful.

When you do the pre-qual with them, always put in 'excellent' for credit to even have a shot of venture popping up. Their meaning of excellent is different than what we think it should be. Try It every couple of weeks, it tends to change.

FWIW, I have a venture with my scores below. My fico 04 are a bit higher. You just never know with them!

For Cap1, they like lots of activity, big payments and PIF. That's how I got my big CLI ($4k on a QS1 after 70 days). That card was my primary driver until my Venture.

thank you so much FRIENDS for the help i really did learn a lot from this community i was an ignorent for a long time i never cared about my score or even want to have acredit card till i want true some deficulties in life with out any backup, than i get to the point that i need to change

The request to speak with you is normal when you apply for two Amex credit cards back-to-back. Usually Amex will only 'auto-approve' two cards back-to-back if one is a credit card and one is a charge card (Green, Gold, PRG, or Platinum). Just give them a call in a few hours once their lines are open, and they should be able to push the application through the system.

I'm actually (pleasantly) surprised you got the option to call; many folks here have reported having to wait on a letter or getting a call from Amex a few days later when applying for two credit cards in the same day, so maybe that's a good omen! Also, two credit card apps with Amex usually mean two separate inquiries (because of the delayed approval) but maybe in your case it will be only one, since you'll be calling on the same day you applied. <fingers crossed!>

i use one card a lot 4000 or 5000 a month and i pay 90% of it even i still have 0 apr and that may be one reason but i will let you know what is the outcome. regarding inquiries they are easy to dispute with exp like computer error submitted the application twice i was successful few times hopefully it will work this time as well if there is any 2 one.

latest updates. I just hung up the phone with the CRS and they inform me that the application can not be processed at the same time as the fist one and it will take 2 to 3 days to be processed that mean i will get hit by another pull, so i decided to cancel it as long as there is no effect on my credit report because after reading a lot of forums about it i think that my chances are not that good after the delta 2000 cl ( 14 inquiries EX ) and this will be my 4 card by amex. i may give it a little time and see how things goes REALLY REALLY i don't need any more cards for now but don't blame me if i change my mind tomorrow. please tell what do you thank and thank you all for the help.

do you think if i apply for another capital one now it will count toward one (3x) pull.
