PenFed CC application

I became a member of PENFED today. I also applied for a simple visa platinum credit card.

I don't see anything online for the CC but I just got this email.

Is this a formality? Or is this looking promising? I really want my foot in the door with them because I'm looking at a new mortgage in the spring

did you get to the approval page fo the CC and it says congratulations your are approved with the credit limit and apr?

My account didnt show up online until like 24 hours after I was approved.

No I applied on the phone when I called in to verify my new membership . About an hour later I got that email. Is there a place to check the status ?

If you set up your online account you can check the status on the website also if you download the app you can also check the status there but I always prefer the website myself.

Go online to the applications tab. It should have your info there. One the phone they said pending result to u?

Yes, she said pending and online says loan officer Is reviewing. I'd be happy with a $500SL , just getting in the door!

we are actually having a bit of an Indian summer. it was 74 here today and currently 68. cubs play off game tomorrow, lots of people circulating around. for a monday, im exhausted from work already lol.

if you look at my screen shot above, the thrifty credit line was approved from the checking account i applied for over the phone. but when I was instantly approved for 2 cards via online app, the status page looked like this. with penfed though, usually the word transfered is golden.

When I applied it was not instant approval...they called me back the next day and asked why I applied for the card I chose, then advised me they could approve me for a card with the same features I wanted and a much lower rate. Their customer service is pretty good.

Yes, the "colonel " called me yesterday and asked the exact same thing. I was approved for the promise card for $3k .....woot! (PS) I was kinda scared when she identified herself as a Colonel ) 😯
