    <description>Well, I work for Macy's Corporate (not in credit) but I can say that the decision will not be based independently on score. It will also depend on your credit file, recent lates and debt to income ratio. There is no black and white answer. Also, as a Macy's associate you do need a Macy's card to take advantage of the associate discount. So, you'll need to app for the card anyways if you want the benefit. With that being said, you may as well app for the Amex and you'll likely just get the store card if not approved for the Amex. It's one hit vs two. Good luck!</description>
