Discover application disappeared?

I applied for the Discover It card last night and received:

"We are reviewing your application and will notify you within 5-7 days once your approval status has been determined.

To expedite the process, please contact a Discover Application Specialist at 1-800-347-4736"

I then clicked the check status button and got the down for maintenance page. So I wasn't sure if it even went through and the 5-7 was due to maintenance because they couldn't process it.

I checked all the fako sites and myfico to see if any show an inquiry alert and there is nothing. I called Discover this morning and the rep couldn't pull up my app with any info. Should I take it as it didn't go through at all and should I reapply or should I wait and see. I don't want another hard pull if it went through the first time, but it makes me feel like it didn't work due to the website maintenance and she had nothing on her side.

Makes me feel like its an omen and I dodged a bullet, but I really want the card. The offer was for the 0% for 12 months then 13-15.99% apr based on market.

I decided to re-apply anyway...couldn't wait for responses, and I was APPROVED! $4000 CL! It's my second active card after watching my credit go in the toilet for years. Now everything is nice and clean, 1 collection on TU which falls off any given day, and the I have this and a $500 cap1 card. Time to garden... I'm so excited.

Congrats!! Same exact thing happend to me about two weeks ago but I was ultimately declined.

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me. I applied on 11/9 got 5-7 day message. I have no credit and was hoping for secured card offer. I tried to check the status yesterday and got the system maintenance page. I thought my application did not go through,but knew it would prob be denied anyway. Today, I checked my status online and they are asking me for documents. I did not put in a new application, so they did in fact get it.
