Upgrade quicksilver to venture one?

I have an offer to upgrade my quicksilver to venture one. This year ive already upgraded from journey to quicksilver now to venture one. Should i do it? Is it worth it? I dont have any travel cards so that might play a role in the decision.

No solid offer. Plus ive been getitng mailers for Quicksilver but when i do them it goes to auto decile with no hp because i have an app pending. Which was also an auto decline because of a previous mailer. Anyway they said i should wait 30 days before next app, to clear the system.

don't PC from QS to venture one. the QS is better as you get 1.5% cash back redeemable for ANYTHING (including travel) vs 1.25% redeemable for ONLY travel. also if you PC you miss out on the spend bonus of 20k points so to convert would be a not so good idea...

If you have the QS1 I would say go for it, but if you have the regular QS, don't. The regular one is a better card than the Venture1. If you want another card though, check their prequal screen and see if any come up.

100% agree with XTERROR on this one; there is nothing the VentureOne offers that the Quicksilver doesn't match or better (with the exception of signup bonus, but you'd forfeit that anyway if you're PC'ing as opposed to applying).

If you're looking for a travel card from Capital One, Venture would make more sense for you I think; it actually does have some advantage over the Quicksilver (2x miles/dollar on all purchases instead of 1.5pts/dollar), and even though it comes with an annual fee you can combine it with your QS after 6 months so you never get hit with it (first year AF is waived). Although if you want a travel card you probably want to do some more research first on what kind of travel card you want...there are lots of choices and everyone's needs are different!

EDIT: just to confirm, your Quicksilver has no annual fee when it upgraded from journey, correct?

If you accepted that "upgrade", you'd actually be losing money and placing more restrictions on your redemptions as well.

The only way I would consider the change to Venture One is if you were trying to get rid of the AF, but since that's not the case you're better off where you are.

I don't consider it an upgrade. It's a completely different product in the same class of credit worthiness.
QS1 on the other hand would be an upgrade, but I'm with the others. App outright if you want it and get the 200 smackers!

Exactly like others said, I converted a QuickSilver One Visa Signature to QuickSilver Visa Sig. because the VentureOne is not that great and you definitely get a little bit more general return on the QS than VentureONe.

The only reason I PCed my QS to V1 was to make it a World MC. I intend on PCing back to QS.
