Comenity store cards, and when to hit that luv button or call???? Confused here

Hey I'm lost when it comes to getting all the luv buttons for Comenity to work.

1) do the comenity cards need to be open 91 days, before one can hit the luv button? Obviously exception to Barney.

2) Barneys worked like a charm btw, received card, and got phone lady to bump from 750 to 2750.

3) can't get any of the other cards to budge on phone, or via luv button...am I doing something wrong???

4) Overstock, jcrew, eddi b ,victoria angel, hsn, buckle, keep getting 7-10 day msg.

thank you in advance....I kept reading, and couldn't find concrete answers on board.

For me they are weird and mysterious.

A couple gave me a CLI as soon as I set up online account - JCrew, Overstock. Then a bump every 31 days. JCrew from 250 to 450 on activation, now at 1250 (used twice). Overstock 450 to 650 on activation, now at 1050 (never used).

The others don't do anything, Buckle (250 never activated/used), Modells (never used), Lenovo (brand new), and Wayfair (brand new, lost it before I activated it - got to call about that).

Also have SG Visa that I've used, denied CLI on account activation and haven't tried since.

I got a CLI on Overstock as soon as I setup the account, and have been getting one every 31 days since. No love from the Sportsmans Guide that I got at the same time.

It took 9 months before Comenity OPENED the CLI vault, LOL!!! Now every 2 months like clockwork I'm getting $400 CLI on the following Comenity cards:

Victoria's Secret

The Limited

Express

New York & Company

I've had my NY&Co card since July and I haven't received any luv. I guess I have to wait 9 months.

YMMV with each card. When I had VS, I couldn't get a CLI until the 9 month mark. Overstock gave me a CLI upon account setup. When I carried a promotional balance on Overstock, I would get CLIs monthly, but now only sporadically. I seem to be on a bimonthly schedule for Gold Violin, but they took 9 months for the very first CLI, then 3 months, and now every other month. However, I might try again today just to see (I just got a CLI last month).

I have 3 Comenity cards - Barney's, Overstock and Sportsman's Guide Visa. I got the usual phone robot lady credit line increases and I also got $300 clis for two months in a row from Overstock, then it quit. I have used my Sportsman's guide card quite a bit and PIF for 5 months now and have been denied increases there too. I suspect though, for most it has to do with low or no activity for lengths of time. I finally had to break down and buy some sunglasses, just to get some new reporting on my Barney's card with my latest CL. It worked.

Only Comenity card I have is VS, started at $750 almost two years ago. Requested CLI a couple of times but always denied. Then around Christmas they gave me a couple hundred 3-4 times.

I think I got a $200 luv before and $200 after my last statement cut. I hit the luv button a third time a few days later, 7-10 day, and got a letter saying I'd had a recent CLI and they want timely payment for the existing amount.

I don't use anywhere near my limit on that card, as I only have one SO and she can only wear so much lingerie in one year (although I am Angels Forever through next year thanks to triple bra points--always amuses or confuses the checkout staff at the stores).

All things considered, I'm very happy with my VS limit--it's more than BofA and Cap1 combined and I've had those for 5+ years each. And in case my SO needs a new bra every day for a month, I can plop down the black-and-gold and cover it comfortably. If only Soma had a card.

I just got Express, New York and Co, Ann Taylor, VS and Justice... I so badly want to hit the love button but... don't they do a hard pull for this?

Lots of luv from the regular store cards, nothing on the sportsman guide or fuel reward MasterCard. All of the cards were opened in the middle of May, all of them are now 6 statements in the books.

The Barney's luv button is dead. It died in October 2015. I was fortune to get luv from it once going from 4,500k to 10k. but now I'm denied on the first cli attemp via phone bot.

devineer1, Just an FYI the Justice card is no longer issued by comenity bank. It is now issued by Capital One. I have had the justice card for about 4 years, and after capital one took it over I tried for a credit line increase with no luck. When I called in I was told they will not offer a credit line increase until I have 9 months of payment history on the account with capital one.

I noticed when I went to (manage my account) they couldn't find an account... I see well I got the 7-10 message so I'm just gonna enjoy the cards and when it's time I'll ask!!

I think, given what Comenity has been doing to people's cards, ie., closing them, I think it's good advice to just leave Comenity alone and not poke them too much.
