Comenity PreApproval- Accept- Then 10 day message

So I have some self control issues but took the camping world pre approval SCT. Hit submit and it went to a well will notify you in writing in 10 days message. First time that has happened to me with comenity pre approval. Went to try and log in and they no record of me blah blah. Today I was looking at my reports and noticed they hard pulled me on Experian for good Sam/comenity Visa. Maybe a verification letter? Otherwise you think they would not hard pull decline me with a PreApproval offer?

Just my observation ddemari but I would heed caution with Comenity for a while. Just my .02c. I'm sure you already know the risks!

So, not that I would envision (or wish) it would happen, but what if Comenity closes the accounts? Let's say this HP (or other tracking SPs) gives them another opportunity to check (just hypothetical assumption of course), then what? Personally, I wouldn't want to see you experience (if it can be helped or avoided) what others have recently posted and gone through - and you have quite a bit of their CCs!

Maybe you like fire! LOL Cooking, heating and lighting, yes - getting torched, no.

Playing with fire with comenity keeping an eye on people and the recent closures IMO.. I wish you all the luck though! I wonder what tomorrow will bring if anything w/regards comenity as the havoc has seemed to happen on Wednesday with people. Please don't get me wrong you are probably ok, just curious if the forum will blow up tomorrow as it has the last few Wednesdays or if the bleeding is over yet..

By all means CC - use it! I just found it perfect for poking the dragon. I suppose given the current environment we're and more recently with Comenity adjusting their lending standards (or just plain closing accounts) I'm kinda staying away from applying with them for a while. About the only two cards that had piqued my interest were the VA and Orbitz but those can definitely wait until the dust has settled.

Yep I am staying away until the dust settles although getting bombarded by mailers for basically all their cards lol.. Have the VA(few months back before all this craziness started) so I can check that one off the bucket list, but they still have a few others the pique my interest, this is just not the time to be poking until the fall-out has ended for a good few months IMO. Just hoping I don't get hit in the next round or any round! Kinda want the MacMall BML hidden TL, but my Amex SimplyCash will have to do for the hidden TL to use for my new MacBook to float a balance at 0% for a few months until paid off.

Congrats. Nothing to be shamed about with that. My amazon is still pending 30 days on one line and the actual app status line wants to transfer me to lending still. I'm sure this will not bear fruit

This app was submitted on 12/2 and went approved late last nite. It was 2 weeks pending till then.
I think applying with my Hyatt number spreed up the process.
