Can you believe we’re entering our TWELFTH year of the myFICO Fitness Challenge?!
If you have financial goals, the myFICO Fitness Challenge is the place for you!

What is the myFICO Fitness Challenge?
To take part in the myFICO Fitness Challenge, simply post an introductory note and state your financial goals for the coming year. Are you hoping to raise your FICO Score? Buy your first home? A new car? Get that coveted rewards card? Tell us about what you hope to achieve, and what reaching those financial goals will mean to you. As the year progresses, check back here to report on your progress, talk about hurdles you encounter, or simply reach out for support and encouragement from your fellow Fitness Challengers.

Monthly Check-Ins
To help you stay on track we encourage you to stop by for monthly check-ins. On the first day of each month, myFICO will post a monthly check-in thread for you to talk about your progress, successes, speedbumps, etc. Participation in these monthly check-ins is optional - but encouraged!

If you’re new to the myFICO Fitness Challenge, then welcome! To begin, set up your official MyFICO signature on your Profile page (Go to My Settings➢Personal Profile➢Personal Information). Hi!

I am excited to take my first FmyFico Challenge. As of today I have payed off all of my credit cards. I do have some collection activity I will be working on next. I have never dealt with these in the past butI am looking forward to working on these after reading lots and lots of posts on this forum for the last 2 years.

I have 3 goals:

1 is to get a better rate than I am paying now on my truck . I will be able to get a newer one with more of the payments going to the truck and not interest.

2 is get a Chase Bank card with the great bonus's they offer

3 is to finish fixing up my manufactured home for a new home purchase in the next year or two.

How can I remove the scores in my above post? I did copy and paste what I thought was a code for the 2021 challenge. But these sadly are not my scores.

Be sure to do AZEO so you don't have a scoring penalty. Do a search if you aren't familar with it. There's a lot of info. on it in the MF forums.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021!!!

My 2020 myFICO Fitness Challenge started just a few months back, but the improvement has been unprecedented!

I have to thank everyone here that is willing to help with valuable info, suggestions, strategies, moral support, personal experiences, and the whole nine yards!

Check my last three months, versus 1/1/2021's update!!!

My 2021 myFICO Fitness Challenge is to fill as many of those cells in that table with dark green color!

Stay strong! Stick to the plan! It works!

Hello all. I joined late in the game during the 2020 challenge, but I'm continuing on my credit journey.

For 2020, this is what I accomplished:

1) Paid off all collections, charge offs, and past dues

2) Removed all of my collections accounts

3) Got approved for the NFCU cash rewards CC

4) Raised my credit scores by ~150 points

For 2021, my goals are as follows:

1) Pay off a predatory loans I took out previously (in good status)

2) Receive a CLI for my NFCU CC and be approved for another NFCU CC

3) Let my credit age

4) Raise my score to 750

5) Purchase a business

This is my first time preticipating in this challenge. I have just a few goals that I would like to share.

1. I would like to get in with chase(freedom flex) & Amex(gold or platinum ) for travel. + join NFCU.

2. AZEO for every month this year.

3. Help my younger sibling start building credit.

As I just entered the world of credit last year I need to graduate from my disco secured card + cap1 secured card. I plan to keep reading this forum and educating myself and others around me about credit. I read somewhere on here "a good friend won't let you earn 1% back" haha

I started back in March 2020, but joined the challenge in October or November last year.

@Anonymous those occassional large jumps are nice. Keeps the motivation level high. What about your sibling? Is he/she eager to start building? When I first started helping my ds and dil I was surprised how quickly their scores climbed and surprised at some of the limits they got, or cli's they received. It's pretty fun cuz I was doing for them the things I wished I had done for myself, including avoiding certain products. A lot of it is in the timing itself.

What are y'all using for your "Starting Score, Current Score, Goal Score"? Pick one out of the three? Or are you averaging them, or what?
