Am I eligible to join NFCU?

So I’ve been thinking, I have an uncle (who I do not live with) who is retired navy and I want to join NFCU. I do live with my mother so do I have a way into the credit union? Can my uncle sponsor my mom and my mom sponsor me? And does my uncle need a NFCU account in the first place? Sorry very inexperienced!

According to their guildlines , it has to be immediate family, so if that is her brother then yes she can join and sponser you. He doesn't have to be a member but makes sure she has DD-214 if needed.
