I think this is second thread about an Iowa , or could have been Idaho, thats met crickets. Wish i could help but im guessing not alot of members here from there or if they are they are chasing the fancy ones

It seems pretty big credit union. 5 billion in assets... They do have some interesting credit products.... and they are open to anyone.

I'd never heard of GreenState before this post, so I did a little internet research. It used to be the University of Iowa Community Credit Union, and they offer a path to membership to anyone willing to join the Iowa Association for the Education of Young Children.

I may have to call and ask whether they do a hard pull for membership.

Lol 5 Billion. Last i heard Penfed was doing pretty good for themselves and i cant get a stick of gum from them. A CU or BANK can have all the assets in the world, doesnt mean they wanna share

It's interesting that the plain jane platinum card starts with a minimum limit of $1000. That would be a great starter card if they are re-builder friendly.

To be honest, was interested in finding out if they had open membership, decent credit products and PLOC. 😝

Thats true, ive tried and tried with PF still wont learn lol. But yeah ill try a CU and see what theyll offer . Ive already tried SCU and i fico you not, i found a new one literally right by my house. Im going to go in person this week to give them my dl and ss. Ill find out if they are good or not but i find it always best to have options for future

So I applied on mobile Safari. Their application process was very smooth. Everything was done instantly with instant membership approval and online registration. 1 hour later I got a very professional phone call with a gentlemen offering me a credit line attached to my checking account (which I declined) and other overdraft options. The entire experience was one of the most pleasant I had with any credit union.

I applied this morning and so far I do not see any hard pull. I checked capital one experiant alerts, and credit karma. Which I am very surprised because I was asked credit questions such as car, address, loans, etc... If I do get hard pull later on today or tomorrow I will let you guys know. Maybe I will apply for one of their credit cards with same HP.
I do not know if they check Chex or EWS.
