Personal Loan Help

Hi everyone, we are in the process of building a new house. There were couple things that we did not want to include in the pricess to keep our payments lower. For all the upgrades and couple of other things we decided to do ourselves, we figured we would get a personal loan and pay that off faster.

We are looking to get between 30k to 35k loan, we have alot of the money but we want to keep it in case of emergency, and we can use it to pay the personal loan off faster.

Can anyone recomand a place to get a good personal loan ot had good experiance with any financial institution? We are looking for low interest and our credit scores are in the 800's.

With scores in the 800s, you can get a personal loan anywhere you'd like.

Best Egg, Lending Club, Sofi, would ALL like to make your acquaintance.

If it were me, I'd visit with a local credit union first... I seem to have better luck, more honest presentation, and more help there.

I would try Sofi.com first and see what you qualify for. It will be a SP for a pre-approval and a HP if you go with them. No fees with SoFi like Lending club and Prosper charge.

Check out Unify Credit Union in California, they have a PLOC in the 7's. I want to say Ally may have some good rates but I do not bank with them.

Marcus by Goldman Sachs was an easy process. DH got 7.99% apr for $10k with low 700s. We would definitely use them again.

Lightstream is another lender I've looked at a lot but haven't used.

Thanks everyone, I am researching everything you guys mentioned above. I will let you know who I went with and how it went, when I get to that point.
