I applied for a SoFi loan to consolidate my debts. Did the online process and SoFi soft pull approved (pre-qualified) me for what I asked...$42,000 with a good rate of 7.99% for 84 months. I did this on the 13th of November. I called them on the 15th to check and see if SoFi needed anything else. The customer service representative said that everything was in order and that I should receive a call. I uploaded my driver's license, recent pay stub, and my VA pension statement. My annual salary is $100,072 and I have a Masters in Computer Resource and Information Management from Webster University. My Fico8 score is 797 (Experian). Others are around the same score. I have no lates and all bills paid on time. My debt to income is less than 13%.

Waited a couple more days and no call. I have a statement on my credit for the creditor to contact the number listed to verify that I indeed asked for credit. I never received that call. I did miss a call from an unidentified number during work but no messages were left on my phone and it was on the 20th of November. I called the number back and it was SoFi. I told the service representative what had happened and they did not see anything in the notes and told me that everything looked good and to wait for a phone call. I never got that call.

On the 22nd of November, I get an email that I was denied because of "no contact and that my income could not be verified". I called SoFi right away and told them that I never received a call. According to the service representative, Will, SoFi tried to call me on the 14th and the 16th of November. I did not get those calls. I was on thr phone with Will for half an hour and the call got disconnected.

At this point, I am pretty upset and I clicked the link to email the CEO and received an email within half an hour and asked when it will be a good time to talk. I received a call from Cody and I told him my situation and he recommended that I reapply and that he would put a note to call my correct number. He also asked me to upload six months of bank statements since VA does not provide a 1099. I received a call on the 24th of November to verify that I applied for the loan but I have not heard anything else.

How long does it take from this point to get to the signature stage (final approval)? I want to apologize if this does not sound very organized since I am writing this on my phone.

Thank you
