Tried to fund with my Chase Freedom and it was declined(set CA at $100). Tried to set my BofA Cash Rewards to zero but the BofA rep didn't know what I was talking about. My US Bank Cash+ might have worked but didn't want to make another phone call so I funded with my debit. Currently allowing only Visa for funding.

@Anonymous I used my BoA TR Visa to fund an account. I don't think I set the CA to zero. It was not charged as CA.

I would rather set my CA lower than what I'm going to charge. Don't want to find out after the fact if it's a purchase. My Freedom should have worked. Looking at DPs it doesn't work on all Visas.

My NASA card went through as a purchase. Just adding for a datapoint, it's obviously not the best card to use if you have a 2% card that will work.

In my experience, Chase codes as CA on a lot of bank funding so that's why it's not working if your CA limit is low (as intended).

Did a standard ACH external transfer from Chase checking of $500 on 10/27 and got the bonus today!

Very nice. I believe with this SUB promotion you'd have to keep the account open for 12 months if I'm not mistaken.

Congrats!!! That's pretty quick. I just opened BBVA a couple days ago and started direct deposit. @Anonymous Are you saying they don't require a "real" direct deposit? If not, I'll transfer $500 today!

Chase checking will work as fake DD. I'm sure there are others. I always use real DD as back up.

@Anonymous ok. I don't have Chase just yet. I was just surprised at how quickly you got yours. How many are you up to for 2020? I'm doing 4 right now (BoA, Cap1, BBVA, PNC) then 4 more (M&T, HSBC, Chase, and ??) to get before January 2021.

I've done US Bank, BBVA,PNC & Cap1. Now PNC my 60 days expire on 12/2 and I did Chase checking standard ext transfer on 10/14 & real DD 11/6 and still waiting.

I opened an account in August 25th using one of the promotional links and my first $500 DD was on 9/15. I had read it can take up to 90 days to get the bonus so I will be looking for it around 12/15.

Should I call if I don't get the bonus deposited?

If you did real DD I would call to check if the bonus promo is attached to your acct.

I called, I must have signed up to a different bonus, the representative I spoke to said the $200 would be funded on March 15, 2021. He did confirm I had signed up with the bonus and had met the bonus criteria of the deposits. This was my first time doing a checking SUB.

Howdy @sxa001 ! Join the train. @Anonymous and others encouraged me to do a few and I am looking forward to some healthy SUBs come Spring 2021. I did have to create a spreadsheet though since I don't really have "fake" dd potential. I'm on my HR site swapping banks every 14 days or so 😂😂. Im gonna get 2k+ so I'm thinking the 1 hour per week managing the project is totally worth it!

Actually, you might wanna hold off until after you get the keys to your new home (so excited for you and your wife) as I don't know how amassing several bank accounts might impact a mortgage loan approval?
