Just apped to AOD membership

I went through the process of signing up for neamba. Applied for membership on AOD website. It asked me which products I'm interested in. I selected credit cards. It didn't allow me to specify which card. It gave me an APR of 8.99 and a slider up to $25,000. I got a notification on EQ that they pulled an inquiry. Will they give me the best card of the 3 that they can offer or will I be able to select once membership goes through?

Oh and also, is there any way to fund the $25 savings account electronically? During the sign up process, it asked for the account, but I had to type it out. No way to link an outside account.

When I was approved, I used a debit card to fund the account over the phone with a CSR.

I don't think you can fund an account electronically when you're applying for membership.

If I remember correctly, you should be able to select the card your Interested in applying for.

I believe I funded AODFCU with Citi DC card? .. but I lost track. Too many CU's.

What are requirements for AODFCU membership? Do they run ChexSystems or just a soft credit pull?

Chexsystems for sure! I don't remember if they pulled an inquiry for membership because 99.9% of the pppl went for "The" card at the same time.

AOD will do a HP for membership and run ChexSystems.

There's an AOD thread in the Credit Cards forum with all of the eligibility requirements.

I do know you can join North East Alabama Bicycle Association (NEABA) that's who most joined to be eligible, including myself.

Yes they do use Chex. I opened them up this past spring after opening at least 5-7 other CU accounts. I can't remember a credit pull or not.

They did do a HP on EQ for the membership. It's still currently under review. I'm not sure about chex systems, but just last week I opened up a Charles Schwab High Yield Investors checking account. I hope that doesn't affect it. Any way to pull up a report on Chex systems?

I didn't quite get approved for membership. Still waiting on approval for that, then onward to applying for the card.

You can request a copy online but they have to mail you a printout, you can't view or access it online. There is no way to display it in a browser, download a pdf, or similar type of access. Takes about a week or so to get it.

If you've only opened a couple of accounts in the last year and don't have negative entries you shouldn't have a problem.

I would but only if you don't have alot of unused credit like I do. I have probably about 190k of available credit tons of credit cards and from what the lady who processed my checking application AOD doesn't like to see that. I didn't know that until after I joined them. I wanted to get their credit card as everyone on here talks about it. I didn't apply because again the lady who did my checking account basically told me I would probably get denied regardless of my credit score. So if you don't have alot of available credit I would say go for it.

They have a 3% cash back on all purchases card with the cash back automatically applied each month as a statement credit. Unknown how long it will last but it's been here since last April and it's still alive so maybe they have enough people carrying balances (it's got an APR as low as 7.49% and it's fixed) to make it worth it. On the other hand maybe they'll stop offering it next month or nerf the cash back. I'm enjoying mine while it lasts but I kept all my other 3% cards just in case.
