Qustions about BFCU Barksdale Federal Credit Union

Hi all. Barksdale Federal Credit Union is "taking over" my local bank and soon I will be eligible for their products and services. I wanted to find out if anyone has credit experience with this credit union? Do they have soft pull increases on credit cards? Do they require POI? And just any other basic info like how easy they are to get approved with and do they send out pre approved offers... Any info would be helpful since I couldn't find anything on the myfico boards.

Looks like they're a smaller sized credit union (Around $2 billion in assets and around 150,000-ish members) Add in the limited membership eligibility you're unlikely to find someone here whos a member there, but you never know!

And if you decide to guinea pig it and apply for a card or whatever, let us know so we have a datapoint here for anyone in the future that may search for this particular CU!

I will say this, in my experience, a lot of smaller-ish credit unions that i've belonged to over the years often do things like require POI and have applications manually reviewed. You can also ask them if they HP or SP before you app if you don't get a response from anyone here that knows.

says they've heard that Barksdale is a great credit union.
