What does restricted access bank branch mean?

Does anyone know the implications of a restricted access bank branch? Never heard of such a thing before and I would like to know what it entails?

Google Earth was no help but my guess is (after living in Anderson, SC for 13 weeks under a contract gig) is that it is a drive thru service only. No lobby services available. Just an ATM and drive thru or just an ATM.

I wonder if those branches are limited to workers of the manufacturing plant nearby, typically you might see this for branches on a military outpost where you can't just walk in as a regular person off the street, even if you are a customer

Wait, I got it. We have restricted access locations here in Las Vegas. That is the location of the Michelin North America. I don't know whether it is a plant or corporate offices but the bank branch is inside the building which is restricted to employees only. The public cannot get in the building to use the bank. We have similar restricted banking locations for some of the casinos. There is a bank branch inside the casino but it is in an employee only area. The public cannot use it.

I think it means it's in a building or facility that is not open to the public.

It means thst location is restricted to those with badge access to the facility in which the branch is located.

If it's like BECU having its Charleston located inside the Charleston camps, you have word or Michelin or work as a subcontractor to be able have access to the facility to go to the branches there. It's ages since I've been to Anderson. Whenever get up that way, I always stop in Grady's Great Outdoors and Mama Penn's.

I found out the hard way years ago when I was looking for a shared branch so I could pay a CC bill and stumbled into the local Boeing facility looking for what turned out to be a restricted access branch. I'll say they were very nice about it. I didn't get very far.
