Anyone pay NFCU through another bill pay

Was wondering if anyone else pushes their payment to Navy from a different bank (ex BA) to NFCU?

I was wondering if I need to get their checking ?

I push monies from my PNC checking to NFCU checking.

Then I pay my NFCU credit card with my NFCU checking balance.

I have not tried to pay to my NFCU credit card thru my pnc checking though

I have thought I could do this, but have never tried yet.

My NFCU accounts are new.

Just looked again,

It seems you can click on your credit card (PAY) button then

you can add external "checking" account only.

SO it seems you can add any external checking account to pay.

I pay externally through Chase via ACH. I'm not sure if that increases the payment time, but it works for me for the time being. It's really easy to set up.

I’ve paid my NFCU card from Penfed or my other bank. You just have to add your other bank as an external account to your NFCU account to use that option.

I always push my payments to NFCU using USAA's bill pay, and it works like a charm.

I've never bothered to set up my USAA checking account information with NFCU (to let them 'pull') and like you I don't have a NFCU checking account, either.

I've paid through a couple of banks (PNC, US Bank) using the Checkfree platform, and also whatever Signature FCU uses, and I've had no issues at all with the payments being processed correctly on NFCU's side. They credit them usually the next day after they receive them.

Both of my granddaughter bank with Wells Fargo. They are both members of NFCU and got their cars financed by NFCU. They learned from their first payments from WF to NFCU that it took 10 days from the day they authorized the payment for it to be posted to their NFCU car loan. We never could determince if it was WF being slow on sending of if NFCU just took time to post, though that certainly doesn't sound like something NFCU would do. Therefore, they now go to NFCU to make their car payments instead of an on-line payment from WF.

They could have just authorized a payment 10 days prior, but did not want to do that in case they did not have that much money in their accounts when doing so. I agreed with them.

I push all my payments to everyone (including NFCU CC's/past car loan too), from a different bank, and never had any trouble.

Payments could be seen that day on NFCU's side (if you call into customer service, they can see it on their computer), and usually post to my account within 2 days max.

I pay mine from my us bank account and have had no issues or delays. I have done it from my banks bill pay and through the pay now button on the nfcu mobile app and both work fine.
