Plaid Check Report??

Has anyone ordered their Plaid Check consumer report?

What was in it and how long did it take to receive it?

Is there a score involved with this reporting agency?

Where did you hear that?

All I know is ChexSystems, LexisNexis, TransUnion, Equifax, Experian, Certegy Payment Solutions, and TeleCheck. Never heard of Plaid Check.

There is a website to request your report, but I haven't received mine yet. A credit union recently used Plaid Check for a loan approval.

Oh that's new to me. I don't have loan yet so I don't need to request it.

So Yeah, add yet another consumer report to a growing list of reports and scores you can get. Plaid was already known as the invasive software that links to your bank accounts and gives them (the lender or service that requests it) about 24 months of your bank account activity. The X1 card was well known to use Plaid in it's application process. There are several other lenders and/or services like Venmo etc... who now use it as well.

It captures deposits (can determine your employer as well), balance trends, cash flow (including categorized spending patterns)... all in the name of what equates to essentially making sure you're not a liar in regards to your income... Tax returns? HA... Nah... those can be fudged is Plaid's mantra.

Apparently they now offer this consumer report with a risk score based on your banking activity and the likelihood of default. The score referred to as your "Lend Score" ranges from 1 - 99. The report is also supposed to be FCRA compliant in the same way tradition reports from Equifax, TransUnion, Experian are in regards to accuracy, disputes of inaccurate reporting etc...

It should go without saying that I'm not a fan of Plaid or anything like it. I see these services as nothing more than extremely invasive data mining operations.

It was First Florida CU that requested Plaid access for my credit card app which was approved for $8500. I got the PLOC earlier that day that was approved for $5000 which was instant. They told me that their credit card application runs on a different system.

I guess I felt OK about it because it was a Credit Union, but I don't think I would've allowed them access if it was somebody that I thought was sketchy. it's amazing what the whole world knows about me and my finances😕😕

I requested my report a few days ago and I received some verification questions and now they say they have to verify that then I'll get my report.

As you mentioned, and don't forget the ever present benefits of the "Early Warning System" report that the financials felt they just had to have. It includes many financial institutions along with a person's specific accounts and individual transactions. There is nothing hidden! Love finding all my checks, certificates of deposit purchased and like posted, for all to know!

Do know that JP Morgan Chase, US Bank and Wells Fargo relish the opportunity to share every decimal point and transaction with anybody that will listen.

Also, you cannot FREEZE the report. Free copies are available upon request and you may request the Early Warning score(s) that are shared with the participating financials. There is no privacy.

Side note, the EWS reporting works closely with PAZE, Zelle and Certos so, in the event you utilize these services "gotcha" is in play.

At least this one seems to have a security freeze option unlike EWS. Pisses me off that EWS gets away with that.
