Langley Credit Union a hidden gem indeed super easy to work with and if you play you cards right the outcome is sweet as honey. was working on that credit union for past few months but the actual useful info came from Joe (Thanks Pal) so I applied for the membership went pending called and was asked few security questions ..passed.. the next day I did my own secret magic LOL asked for line of credit details (OTP) was told lowest is 500$ and highest is 40k .. applied for 30k with condition that I would only accept it if I get the lowest APR otherwise I would reject it. 15 minutes later LO called me (was 9 seconds call) told me Approved Full Amount +Lowest APR So sign the papers via e-mail and there it is sitting now

For Membership process I would recommend (757.827.7200) once it goes referred best to call and get it done on the phone..

Keep In Mind always better to apply over the phone and if you get approved they always call to inform you (standard policy)

Congrats on the approval! Got approved for $10K LOC with the Cash Back VISA a couple of weeks ago - was afraid to ask for more. Maybe I should go back and ask for more? Agree that over the phone is the best way to apply for things with them.

I applied for a PLOC with every CU I have a membership with earlier, Langley included. I don't need the credit. That's the best time to apply for it. So I'm just going to kick back and see how the chips fall. I went out of this world with my requests, asking for $50K with each CU for a PLOC.

I have $15K-$20K limits with each CU I asked for a PLOC with.

If I get a PLOC, cool, if not, whatever. The best time to look for a new job and credit is when you don't need it IMO.

It can take years to beat a bank down on the accounts APR, etc. Not always, but usually, you really have to work at it.

Thanks Rem,CC,GM it was so nice and easy to deal with them.i would highly suggest to all friends try them out AJC was the main reason for me to join Langley ... no chex pull only single HP to Eqfx which is not a big deal for sure ..

I opened a langley account and they pulled EQ.

I called for PLOC and the CSR told me that they will have to pull credit again for credit cards/PLOC..

Is that correct?

Agreed. I like them too. Recently they added a cash advance fee and balance transfer fee to their platinum card, rendering it useless for me, so I asked them to transfer its 30k limit to my 10k PLOC, and they did it 1-2-3. Since it's an overdraft line of credit, it's quite a convenience. And the 9.5% interest rate is fair in my book.

Hi, congrats on joining. It could be. Im not sure as when i joined i was able to use my originsl hp to get a credit card. When i applied for a second card, i was originally approved but told i could only have 1 credit card so i asked if i could use that hp for a LOC, which was approved. I understood the original pull was good for 30 days but perhsps it pertains to their credit cards and not their ploc?

I just finished opening my Langley account and was also told by the rep that any applications for credit cards or loans would be a separate hard pull. This is disappointing if true. Has anyone confirmed this at this point?

ahem. just make sure you don't have a fraud alert on your report. CSR told me it doesn't matter if you answer EVERY id question correctly, so long as that is on the profile, they WILL NOT open your account without seeing you in person.

Take a wild guess as to how I found that out.......
