I just wanted to share my interaction I just had with NFCU.

I decided to give NFCU a go as my primary checking. I originally opened the EveryDay checking because there was no minimum balance requirement. Since I'm keeping more cash in the account anyways I figured why not get more interest and ATM fee reimbursements.

I really didn't think it would be so easy. It was quick, painless and the directions worked perfectly.

my son is signing with the Navy so we are heading to NFCU asap to open accounts lol.. I actually went to their site yesterday and realized I could of joined a long time ago using my father being in the Air Force..

actually, after that post I simply called NFCU and used my dad being in the Air Force and they gave me my membership with checking and savings

Can anyone explain to me these terms on the flagship checking?

The owner of a non-Navy Federal ATM may charge a fee. Up to $10.00 in
ATM fee rebates per statement period. Direct Deposit required.

I need to recieve direct deposits to be eligble? How often?
