NFCU CLOC Instant Approval Max!

Thanks to the MyFico community I've been learning a lot about building my credit up. DW and I are looking to refinance our mortgage at the end of this year or early next year so trying to build our credit scores and file up as high as possible to get the best rates. Had some late mortgage payments back in late 2014, early 2015 due to DW's brush with cancer and me getting into an accident and losing a couple months of work. So our mortgage scores have been the slowest to come up. To make matters worse, our original mortgage lender who seemed pleasant to deal with agreed to a payment plan to catch up missed payments but turned right around and sold our mortgage to another lender who held the contract for a month or so and resold it to another. The 2nd and 3rd buyers of our mortgage weren't so friendly. At the end of the say (early 2015) we had caught up all our mortgage payments and have never been late since. However, the late mortgage payments are listed on our credit report by 3 different mortgage lenders when it was the same mortgage.

But looking forward, with the help of the great people on this forum our scores are rising. Thank you to all who contribute here so that we can learn so much.

A couple months ago I was approved for the NFCU Cash Rewards with a cl of $700. Last night I thought what the heck I'll give it a try so I applied for the CLOC and taking the advice of many in this forum I asked for the max and was instantly approved for $15K, my biggest limit so far. At the 91/3 mark which should be mid-June I am planning on applying for another card and a CLI on the Cash Rewards card.

Congratulations on your CLOC approval and limit. Are you military? If so try to get a VA loan easiest to get. My wife was prior military and Active Duty Disabled. So she qualified for a VA loan back in December 2016 @ 3.00% and no PMI. Good thing too was she had a 790 score back then too so it wasn’t hard for her. Good luck with the refinance of your home.

No, I'm not military. My father is a veteran and my DW's grandfather retired as a captain in the Navy, served his whole adult life in the navy.

Anyone no what navy fcu pulls i just got and account hopefully its not experian as most of my cards dont even report with them

They typically pull EQ for the CLOC.
