In The Navy Now (NFCU)

That classic old tune immediately came to mind ♫ i'm in the navy now ♫

I applied for membership at NFCU over the Independence Day Weekend and it went to pending review. Got a return email requesting docs so forwarded those and another email came back saying "Thank you For emailing Navy Federal's Membership Operations. Please allow
up to two business days for your correspondence to be reviewed and a response returned."

Today got an email "We're excited to welcome you to the Navy Federal family-thank you for joining!"

While it's really nice to be in and all that the products will just have to wait for another more opportune time though.

There is just no way that i dare app anything more at this point in spite of the fact it would likely be a nice approval.

Thank You too humuhumunukunukuapuaa and equal Congrats! to you also friend on your own recent new NFCU membership entry.

This is absolutely perfect in a sense that in securing such a special membership with them now and in my case just relax awhile and build up the deposit accounts first and then later down the line give their credit products some attention.

This is my plan as well - I can't imagine they'd approve anything 2 mos post BK, and I have all the credit I need until November...hopefully they'll look at me then

They're not going anyplace and all of those different products will still be there just the same later down the road

I'm as slow as a turtle sometimes anymore and not quite as easily excitable like before either so i intend to just take it slow with this CU and not be in any rush to apply like the masses do.

There's plenty of time for all that and plus they aren't gong anywhere anytime soon anyway.

Agree 100%. After I get in I will sit back and let things sort themselves out before applying for any credit products. I got a "send proof of your address" email yesterday from the BSA officer, they didn't ask for anything else, so I think I am close.
