They do appear to have the lowest rates of all CU including NFCU but few hoops you have to jump through. A CC with them which I had and use I believe at least prior to approval and believe direct deposit of 1k a month to them if not mistaken then you get off 1% I believe for their best rates that they published. The rate difference between NFCU and BCU was like .25 different so just went with NFCU for most recent purchase due to auto loan history with them and not having to move a bit of direct deposit over to check that box and NFCU has never asked for POI where-as BCU did for CC which is no big deal as they have that now, but didn't want to deal with that again. Talked to them on the phone a few times over the years and just recent a month or two ago when got new car

BCU seems to how some of the lowest rates

3.49% for 2025 models
4.49 for 2022-2024 models

must show screenshot of vehice on BCU.TRUECAR.COM
and have an active Credit Card OR personal loan - and one transaction a month to get the 'rewards rate'

Also if your 'Savy Money' score in their online banking is higher than what the lending department pulls - they are able to lower your rate (adjust your interest to match the savy money score rate)

There is also a $25 for referrals. $25 for both when joining as a member.

Agreed that's a low rate... but I take it you noted the hoops at the bottom of the page you have to jump through for that rate. It did give an example of 75 months at that rate which is indeed better than NFCU which has been the lowest for quite some time...incidentally without the hoops

If you're uncomfortable with dealer negotiating, this is a value add. If you don't need that, you're likely better off on your own. While I don't do business with BCU. I would agree that my working relationship with NFCU makes partnering with them very easy!

Premier America has similar rates but also hoops must have direct deposit, autopay, and get insurance from them.

When I got my last loan it was through them for 2.79 that went to 2.25 with DD and autopay.
