someone posted a few weeks ago they were denied through pre-approval on website and went into dealership and was instantly approved... The Finance Managers I think have some pull on getting these approved and with your 689 that would be very good for Nissan, they have been approving the promo rates all the way down to 600 scores.

Last Thursday I applied for pre-approval through Nissan's website and all I really know about my application is that they denied pre-approval and they pulled TU...Is there a way I can call a credit analyst to see if they can over turn that? I don't know why I was turned down...just pulled FICO TU and I am at 689 w/$0 credit card debt...one auto loan always paid on time and about $30000 student loans with annual income of $60,000 so I am dumbfounded...anyone have a phone number for Nissan credit?

The phone number on the website just gets you to an overseas call center who know nothing about my application... and they won't give me a phone number to someone here in the states that has that information.

1-you will be getting a denial letter in the mail listing reasons. For all you know there could be a credit report identity issue or something stupid like that.

2-Were you actually looking to buy a Nissan, and soon? Do you have a car in mind or were you looking for a general approval?

If you are looking to buy and soon- go into a dealership and talk to a finance manager. If you tell them a sale is contingent on getting financed by Nissan as you were looking for their advertised rates they can make an attempt to find out what the problem is and help overcome it.
