Where to apply for auto loan 3 years after BK?

Our chapter 7 BK was discharged 3 years ago, our car loan with wells fargo was supposed to be reaffirmed but we didn't get the papers in time to sign them. However we paid the car on time every month and it was paid off 2 years ago. We purchased a house in June and had no issues at all getting the home loan and a great rate. Our credit has been fine since the BK, no late payments etc. We are in need of another vehicle because one of ours won't last much longer. Where should we apply for a loan? We aren't looking for a super expensive fancy car, just a used vehicle big enough to haul our family of 5 and 2 dogs. Used mini van or suv for around 10 K or so.

Most areas have a local CU that does a boatload of auto loans - and usually at great rates. They would definitely be my first choice. And if you have the financing set up through a CU before you get to the dealer (and their pricing), you can get a much better deal all around.

We had no trouble at all with auto financing after BK. Two great loans - paid off the first and got an even better deal on the second - both at great rates.

We got approved from a credit union, we bought a used ford expidition, plenty of room for the whole family .

Ford Expedition, not exipidtion,lol. We got a loan for 30 months, hopefully we can pay it off a little early.

Congrats! My parents have had a Ford Explorer since 2001. Pretty reliable even after 10 years and ~115k miles.
