My wife just called me and said she likes the BMW 6 Series better. She cancelled the S5 order and bought a 6 Series. I did not know she was going to do this. I asked her what "drove" her to this decision and she said she was so mad at the response from VW that she would never own another VW product and voted with her feet. WOW!

Anyone want a $1K voucher with my name on it?

I recently sent a GW request to VW Credit regarding lates in 2001/02. I was a co-signor on a car loan and my son missed a couple of payments and the loan was paid in full in early '02. I have owned several cars of every brand built by VW (VW, Audi, Porsche) and have been a very loyal customer for 35 years.

Yesterday I received a letter from the CEO's office. They will not remove the derog's which drop off in 9 months. They were "kind" enough to include a $1,000 customer loyalty voucher for the purchase of a new VW.

My wife just ordered a new S5 Audi, perhaps it is time to change my loyalties....

Good for your DW. That is the way to get the attention of a company. Now, she should follow up with a letter to let them know exactly why (to the CEO of course).

Thats a shame. About a month ago, I wrote a GW letter for my hubby to Chrysler... total of 5 lates in 8 years for 2 different cars (2 on one, 3 on the other - owned 4 total in that time period).. they deleted all late entries within a couple weeks of mailing out the letter.

I think it depends on who you talk to at VW. I have tried for 6 months to get a 30 day late off of my credit report. When I called in the past, they said they would absolutely not take it off my report becauuse it was valid. I called them 2 days ago and got a much nicer csr. They agreed to remove the late because my brother-in-law (I'm a cosigner) tried to pay but had insufficient funds in his bank at the time of the late. They were very helpful and hopefully will follow through with the deletion. I"ll let you know what happens. Does anyone know how soon I should pull my credit report to check if the late is removed?

i have dealt with Audi Financial and BMW and all i can say is , I WOULD NEVER finance anything through Audi again. they are really mean. once in a blue moon you come across someone nice but try paying late a few times and they treat you like the scum of the earth.
