Best CU to join in anticipation for applying for car loan?

I am looking to buy a car in Spring 2014. I am hoping my credit score will be in the 670 range, if not a little higher by then.

This will be the first car I have ever purchased , so I would like to join a CU and get a cc with them to establish a relationship. What would be a good cu to do this? I have no military ties, so USAA and NFCU are out for me.

If you're over 675 DCU is where you want to be, 2.49% (1.9% with Checking and DD)

i googled DCU, and it is Digital Credit Union, correct?

I looked the CU upu as I am n the same boat. They say the are not Credit Union guaranteed?

I'm not sure what you mean? Not a Credit Union guaranteed? If you are referring to their securities and investment portfolio that is accurate. DCU is NCUA insured for banking and loans.
