Anyone deal with wells fargo Auto? Online App?

So i decided to apply at wells fargo for an private purchase auto loan, so the next screen says "congratulations your loan app has passed our intial criteria for approval" so what does that mean? Whats next in the process? If i were to be declined woukd i have been declined flat out? Help me! I think after the submission screen it said conditionally approved

Loan was sent to underwriting.....in the mean time i app with my credit union and that was a no go since i have a BK on my file. To i called WF yesturday and was told to call looan officer monday they have an offer..ill update soon

Thank you for the response. So it takes a few days then it's not something you hear back right away. I applied yesterday evening and received the same email. I haven't called them yet though.

Have you sent in any other documents ( paystub etc) or did you just do the online application?

I did the online app, got the onscrren "you have met the itial credit criteria" received an congrats email, then a phone call. Wf called me again today we went over the app and agian the rep said hes gonna send to underwriting, he did disclose that their approvals are good for 30-60 days but if it goes beyond 30 they have to re-pull credit. Oddly they didnt ask me anything about my employment. They asked about the car, vin, miles and price. He said hed send to underwriting again (not sure is first rep ever did) and hed have terms and decision by end of today..he then send me a email with his contact info. The first call asked if i had a down payment if needed this rep didnt mention it. I will update soon. They pull from TU and i am in the state of NJ and i app for Wells Fargo Auto Finance.

They called me today and the guys computer crashed on him in the middle of our convo so i'm waiting to hear back. Thank you for your updates, its nice to see how they structure things in advance.

From the looks of it i think thats what happened with the first time i called in. They close today 7p CST 8 for me im in the east cost so my fingers are crossed. Did you apply for private party financing? Or wf dealer services?

Another guy called me and once I told him I had briefly spike with another rep and was waiting for his callback he said he would let him follow up. He told me there were no underwriters in today though so I probably wouldn't hear back until Monday ? I'm in California and I applied for a used car loan through wf auto not dealer services. I'm assuming it's like a private party loan as I think they give a check but I'm not certain. At this point I have no info

After all that my APP was declined because of my 2013 BK...well i just went over to capital one and got approved for 30k new car loan. Bittersweet because i really dont wont to part with my leased 2011 chevy traverse. Anyways that was just my experience anyone reading if you have a BK thats less than 3years old dont app at WF. Underwriting told me that they want to see 3yrs of post bk rebuilding despite the fact that on credit pulls data base i see Approvals from WFDS. I guess YYMV

Sorry about Wells Fargo. I applied last night for a refinance and received the same message. I called like the message said and spoke with a gentleman who said he sent it to underwriting and should have a decision by noon today. Fingers crossed! I have a bankruptcy from 2013 so I am not optimistic after reading your post.

I app'ed online Monday and got the check Thurs. Going tommorrow to pick up the Jeep. They pulled TU and I had 660. I also had 7 INQ's and a 5% Util on my cards. It was for $23k and I got 7.89% interest for 72 months, not a great interest but I have a 660. This was for a new car. Hope this is helpful.
