For what it is worth, everytime I purchase a new car (which seems to be every 18 months or so lol) I always get one hit from the dealership and another one from Infiniti Finance/NMAC. I don't think 3 inquiries is terrible, and as another poster stated, they should be counted as one since dealerships will rate shop for you. I don't think it will be an issue and good luck/enjoy the new car!

Was at 2 Honda dealerships yesterday leasing a new car for DW, wife has 750 FICO and I've asked them not to run multiple inquiries but only one with Honda Finance (something I think I have seen at this forum to reduce inquiries)

I was promised by the sales people that they will only run her credit with Honda Finance.

I now found that both have run multiple inquiries - for example:

1) Dealership ran with Transunion

2) Dealership ran with Experian

3) Honda finance ran with Experian

Anything I can do about it? Can I dispute due to the fact that we have not authorized the extra inquiries?

If they coded them correctly, only 1 HP will be counted against you. Three isn't so bad. I've heard about them making 9+ inquiries to rate shop.
