Bought 2015 Nissan Leaf EV for Partner -- 0% for 60 months

Bought a fantastic 2015 Nissan Leaf EV (middle of the line trim). 5K miles.

This car retails for 35K for 2016 and we got it for 15.9K with 0% interest for 60 months. (The new car does get a 7.5K federal tax credit.)

The dealer pulled EQ Auto Enhaned. 785 FICO. (EQ 08 Classic is 776)

Nissan Financing also did an HP. Argh.

I declined the $1800 extended service contract. This car is certified preowned for 100K miles/7 years.

Battery is guaranteed for 84 months/100K miles.

Also, they tried to sell GAP insurance but I knew it would be a better deal to purchase separately. They wanted $495 for GAP.

I called USAA, and though they don't offer GAP insurance per se (except on loans they fund), they do offer comprehensive loan coverage, which is the same thing. The cost is $20 per six months. Great deal.

Congrads sounds like you get an awesome deal! Reminds me of the awesome deal I get years ago on a Nissan. Paying $15.9k for a car with an MSRP of $35k even at $20 I would past on the GAP. I don't see how you can get upside down on this loan. Enjoy your new car.
