Shady Car Dealership

I one day went with a friend to purchase a vechicle. The people at the car dealership seemed nice and trusting so, i was going to buy a car and the guy said that i had to take a loan of $2,000 dollars out for personal use when I go travel. I didn't know anything about loans or how to take one out so he did it for me through my phone. He applied for the $2,000 one and he told me to go to my bank to withdraw or something of that nature, so I went, and as I went to the bank to check on my account, the bank person notify me that I had also applied for a $200,000 Auto loan, the car dealer guy never mention anything about an auto loan and I didn't apply for a loan like that myself. I planned on paying or it without any huge loan that can put me in bankrupcy. I told the bank that I never applied for this loan and to cancel all of the loans that i have applied for today. I told the bank that I didn't give him any information to access my bank, but he might remember my access number maybe. I felt really stupid after I just remembered what I said. Now, I am locked out of my bank and I am trying to make an Appeal to not shut my account down. I don't know why I continued to try and purchase the car after feeling uneasy, but after hearing of an unknown/mentioned loan I completely flipped. What Should I do or say? How can I recover My Account? Please help, I am new to Managing My Own Bank Account And FInancing.

Start off by going to the dealership and having a conversation. Maybe ask for video of that day and then file a police report.

He should have given you a card, you can always take that to the police as well with his information if the 'dealer' doesn't try to correct it right away but that is SUPER SHADY!!! If it's your first time buying ANYTHING especially something larger purchase always speak with a ton of people or best have someone with experience JOIN YOU! So they can help you to ask all the right questions and help keep an eye out for red flags I would have made you leave RIGHT AWAY if he said you needed to take a 2k loan out.......SMH Shady indeed....

I'm trying to understand this. You went to dealership to buy a car, ok makes sense so far. Then the car dealer told you to take out a personal loan for $2000 for travelling? Nothing to do with buying a car? Just doesn't make sense to me.

Did they tell you that you had low credit score, and recommend this $2000 loan as a way to build credit?

Going forward, don't ever be pressured by salespeople. If something confuses you or doesn't make sense, walk right out of there. If someone wants you to sign paperwork you don't understand, or fill out applications for you STOP immediately, and get help from a trusted friend or family member.

If this story is even true beyond the “I went to a car dealership” I feel bad for what we’ve become as a society.

More likely, yes, just ANOTHER spam post. There is a lot of that recently that seem to be coddled...
