NFCU ten minute car loan. :)

Wife and I drove out to a car dealer today to LOOK at a Taurus SHO.

It was a gorgeous beast, but too much car.

Wife suggested we look at a Fusion while we were there.

Oops.

2017 Fusion Platinum with 35,500 miles on it for $17k!

We discussed trade in, but didn't have it with us... we discussed financing, but I'd rather talk to Navy. Made a deposit with a credit card and will return tomorrow with the correct vehicle for trade in.

Literally had to drive by NFCU to get home, so we stopped to ask about a car loan. Friendly man in the branch informed us that there were no loan officers on site, but if we'd like to return to our car, he would call us and take our application over the phone.

Ummm.. OK.

So we sat in the car. The man called my wife, she and I answered all of his questions, and we were hoping to get approved for a $20k loan. The countered with $22k.

Ummmm. OK.

We left in less than ten minutes with a blank check in hand to deliver to the dealership tomorrow!

Used car, 60 months, 3.89% APR. We intend to write the check for $16,334 (for a $300 car payment) and will make sure that our down payment covers the rest.

Very, very pleased!

Don't have current score yet, but earlier in the month, her EQ9 score was 712.

Just earlier today I got approved through Navy for an Auto loan. Did it all online in about 10 min. Check is coming express mail.

I want a new car, but states have these really obnoxious laws for blind people. Isn't that why Tesla offers autopilot?? LOL!! ⚠️😱🤣

@Mr_Mojo_Risin Both brothers and a nephew have the Accords and love them!

I had a Civic and really liked the car.

Started having some issues, so had no choice but to get rid of it.

I really like how the newer Honda's drive. More European than Japanese IMO.

I'm on the hunt for another vehicle as well.

NFCU is the best.......bar far easiest loan ever, went on computer in less than 5 min approved, drove to their credit union and picked up a check.....honestly was waiting for shoe to drop, but it never did.........and i believe they use auto 9 score EQ correct?.....cause it was alot higher than credit karma, experian apps......

The Fusion is really a great car and comes at a great price point when they're a few years old.

My Mom has a 2015 and we've had no issues with. Nice size, comfy, great features, good gas mileage.

Not sure which score they use... I THOUGHT it was EQ9, but it ain't.

It's an EQ score, and hers was 748 as of 31 August. Her EQ9 is 712 ish.

What I DO know is that 3.89% is the best rate I've ever seen on a used car.
