Auto loan charged off but i still have vehicle.

Hello all,

i went through some bad times and was not able to pay for my vehicle and GM financial charged off my car. I still have the vehicle right now but i was wondering if i could go to another bank and get another loan for the same car to pay off my old balance?

remaining balance is $16k car is worth $40k on bluebook.

How long ago was it charged off? What are your scores? If it's been long enough maybe you can go to a credit union and the equity in the car would help.
