I applied for USAA and Penfed just to see what scores they pulled and of course i knew i would be denied but still wanted to know where i would stand for when i do apply for them. So:

USAA pulls Fico3 which is a score only with Experian and it is a score for credit cards.

Penfed pulls Auto Fico9 through Equifax

Also i live in Texas so this maybe only for Texas who knows..but now i know for when i apply again what scores to focus on growing.

The thing is 3 never caught on so 2 stuck around. So that's why we have 5/4/2 instead of 5/4/3. Score 2 was from 1998 whereas 5/4/3 is based on the 2004 algorithm.
