YAYYYYY!!! I am so excited today I received my wage deduction order in the mail notifying my office to stop deductions. Wow, my stuff seems to be moving along pretty well. I paid my last lump payment on the 15th of March (money order). The payment posted on 13data center on 18 Mar. My case shows date closed Mar 22 2013 on the website. Now I will await my discharge paperwork. I'm so glad!!!!

@darkknight59...I know you are on cloud nine...so CONGRATS to you as well...I know I am looking at it like a raise. it sure feels like one is coming. I can't wait to see my pay stub and see that it has been removed. I am hoping to see my discharge at the end of next month. I kept showing my husband my letter that said to stop the payments he was looking at me like I was crazy, but he hasnt been handcuffed for 5 years. HA

Soooo as of Apr 3rd it has been noted that I will receive a refund. Monday I mailed off my request for discharge. So now I will sit back, put my hands behind my head and wait for my discharge!!!! So glad this is coming to an end.

my case is out of GA. I made my last payment on 15 Mar and it posted 18 Mar. I received my discharge on 30 Apr. I got mine off the pacer website because i have heard that it takes some time to receive it in the mail, but I received my copy from my attorney on the 2d May in the mail and my title for my vehicle 6 May. I feel it went pretty quickly. I did make the final payment with a money order as I hear you dont want to make it with a check. So keep that in mind.

I sent my final payment on 2/14... 30 day notice to object went to creditors on 4/5... Ch13 discharge showed up on Pacer yesterday.. 5/7.

I'm glad it's over.

My chapter 13 is in it's final stages... on May 1st I called the trustee's office spoke with the clerk working my case. I provided her with the fax number to send the wage deduction cease letter (when my bankruptcy was filed in 2008, it was sent directly to my office. I was very embarassed knowing that my co-workers knew about my bankruptcy small office of about 20 people)... my next pay check... I got a virtual raise!!! woo hooo!!!! I recieved a small refund. The clerk mentioned to cash the check as soon as possible so all checks can clear. Now i'm waiting for the 21 day period for creditors to object... then starts the discharge paperwork. according to 13 datacenter it shows discharge recommended..

Congrats to everyone who has made it thru... I can say... being in a chapter 13 for 5 years is a life changer, no doubt.

When does the 21 days to object begin? I've completed my Chpt 13 repayment plan 5/21/2013 (64 months), according to 13data, payment plan is complete. When does the 21 days to object begin? Then if there are no objections how long does I take to receive the discharge? Appreciate any info, trustee secretary no being to helpful

hi drboxing. Have you checked 13datacenter.com or pacer.gov? according to the document in pacer for my case, the creditors have 21 days from the time of mailiing to object. which was 5/23. I'm not sure how long it will take after the objection period.

right now my case shows as discharge recommended on 13datacenter; what does yours show?

maybe someone else with more experience can shed some light on what happens after your plan payments have been completed.

Thanks for responding, 13data only states repayment plan is completed, nothing about discharge recommended. No updates on PACER.org

I just wanted to ask a question here, what is the deal with the creditor objections after discharge papers? I thought once your plan was confirmed that, that was it. And they had to put their objections in at the plan notification? So they can also object to your discharge also? And can anyone tell me what base balance means for the periodic report? My last payment is this month. Sorry I was going to start my own thread but this one seems to have some good answers already.

Got my letter today. I opened it as if there were a million dollar check inside.

Not sure if my car is going to last until the discharge...would it be safe to try and get an auto loan or try and wait for the discharge?

you will have to have the either the letter or the credit report they pulled show discharged for the auto loan.

believe me I pulled my credit daily for the exact same thing when I was coming out of my chapter 13.... I ran to Carmax when I pulled it one morning and saw it updated!

Just got a refund from my trustee, just waiting now for the discharge. 64 months of ch 13 BK prison finally over. Approved for vehicle already, dealer just waiting on discharge

I'm waiting (not very patiently) on my discharge papers. Plan completion came yesterday and request for discharge was placed today. Hopefully not too much longer.

Kudos to you. Big accomplishment MZWARE!!! Mine will likely be over in August. Been paying my home mortgage and Car loan with CapOne on time, no missed payment from inception of CH 13 and hoping someone can tell me if this helps my credit at all. I pulled my CR last Nov and have 630 for EQ with +-5 from TU and EX. Hope somebody can chime in. Thanks All.
