SOOOO I applied to be a part of a credit union. they didnt do a credit pull but did a check sys pull. Got declined because of bad debt in check sys.

pulled my check sys its clean . So I said forget the CU . Ill get a conventional bank account ... BOFA . Declined because of check sys. So I called check sys. They say its clean. I faxed them the one letter I got from DCU. check sys says sorry. I said this is against the fair credit ( http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/031224fcra.pdf )

Chris on the phone for chexsystems told me. Well sir a little knowledge doesnt is as dangerous as a gun in the hands of a child. ( !!!???!?!?!?)

Called EVERY bank I have ever had and verified that I didnt owe them money. On the contray one owed me money and had turned it into the state and gave me a website to check.

Any advice would be appreciated. I wanted to establish a relationship with a CU since I will be wanting to buy a house in a year.

There is another forum on here discussing this. Everyone confirmed that you just have to write Chexsystems a letter requesting deragotary info to be removed, in most cases it was removed within 10 days. I am on Chexsystems as well the rep told me to submit a letter with a copy of my Bankruptcy filing notice listing the case number and they will remove it. Call them at 8005137125 and fax the letter to 6026592197. Good Luck!!
