That's the word my CU loan officer used last night...

I went in to secure new car financing and since it was the same HP I asked for a CC CLI...

$25k @ 4.24% for 72 months... approved.

$1500 CLI to $10k... approved.

"You've done an amazing job rebuilding your credit" is what he said... I told him thanks!

There is life after BK... focus on your goals and be patient... you'll get there!

I decided to apply with Chrysler Financial as well... pre-approved for $48k.

Gonna go shopping after work and see what I can do...

The satisfaction must be wonderful. Not just knowing yourself what you've achieved, but sitting across a desk from the loan officer and having your achievements confirmed in the LO's words and deeds. Kudos!

Congratulations, that must feel especially encouraging coming from a loan offers. $48k pre-approval from Chrysler Finacial? I hope you;re not going to buy a Hummer stretch limo.

I find out next month how "amazing" mortgage & CU car loan officers think my rebuild is . . . .

There she is... 2015 Dodge Challenger 5.7L...

$0 down... 4.49%. The 2015 model year features a redesigned interior as well as front grill/hood and rear end to give it the retro 1971 Challenger look.

Rebuilding takes patience but it will pay off!

I'll refinance in a year when my reports are clear of my BK13 and my scores are much higher.

TCR_WA, if you wouldn't mind, I have a couple questions for you regarding your experience with Chrysler Financial and your Pre-Approval.

I am in the early-stages of rebuilding my credit - about 2 months in so far. I applied last night for financing with a couple dealers, all saying no except for Chrysler, who Pre-approved me for $19,963.

I'm pretty shocked at the $. The other day Roadloans.com approved me for about $11k w/ 20 something % interest! (Yikes!).

I'd really like to know how your Pre-Approval experice was.

Did you apply online, receiving the approval then?

What happened at the dealership when you presented the pre-approval paper (if applicable)?

Did you have to fill-out another/new financing application at the dealer?

Was your Pre-Approval $ amount honored?

What, if any, documentation was required of you?

I guess those are the main questions I have. Anything else you feel pertinent, I'd be glad to hear.

And thank you very much for your time (and response, if you feel so inclined)!!

P.s. All of Chrysler's big cash-allowances end tomorrow ( 3/2 ), so I don't have much time to make this work.

Any suggestions or advice from anyone is most welcome! Thank you all very much!

What happened at the dealership when you presented the pre-approval paper (if applicable)? They told me they could get me a better rate... and they did. The rate from Chrysler wasn't listed on the approval but for whatever it's worth the dealership told me the rate is typically 10-13%. Yuck.

Was your Pre-Approval $ amount honored? I went with different financing.

What, if any, documentation was required of you? Just the standard ID... SSN... etc...

I guess those are the main questions I have. Anything else you feel pertinent, I'd be glad to hear.

I've done just about all I'm gonna do for now... LOL

Dropping her down a bit... new exhaust... leather interior... things to think about later but for now she's perfect... and FAAAAASSSSSSSST.... well, as fast as you can get in stock tires which for me was 5.5 sec 0-60.

I did added the Hellcat ram air mod so I get cool air thru the left inner headlight... gonna have to do another timed run now. Not that I care about speed or anything... I do like the passing power it has though when you are behind the slow people.

... and yeah, the black wheels were EXACTLY what the car needed.
