Just received a score watch alert and was excited to see if my score went up but it dropped 11 points on EQ.. I have kept my utl down to 6-10% haven't applied for any new cc since I was discharged from chapter 7, pay everything on time well way before due date. I have like 11 inquiries due to fall off this month also.. I did dispute a few accounts that were not reporting IIB and they disputed my whole file not just the ones reporting incorrectly... this is so discouraging any advice why it dropped what I'm doing wrong?

Michele,

I would say that the inquiries are affecting you, but since they've been on there, I can't see why that would make it drop this late in the game. Have you had anything added to your credit file since you were discharged? Also, have you seen any new inquires pop up?

What do you mean by "they" disputed your "whole file"?

When I logged into credit karma today was the update and it shows that there was an increase in my student loans that are currently in deferment so it was the interest that was added to my balance.. also when I check my accounts with EQ they are all saying customer dispute reinvestigation in process all of the accounts even the accounts I did not dispute is that the Norm?

And No new inquiries since the week of discharge which was Aug 8th

Ignore score changes from Credit Karma.. Are the accounts showing remarks that they are investigating possibly left over remarks from old disputes? I had a ton like that

it was myFICO score that dropped 11 points I received an alert from the score watch which made log into credit karma to see what made my score drop. They have an increase in my student loans so I'm assuming that is what made it drop because everything else is reporting positively.. I learned on this forum not to pay attention to credit karma scores.. my dispute with EQ is still pending for 2 accounts that are reporting charged off instead of IIB so I'm hoping with a few months of on time payments and low utl I'll see a bump in scores

Trying to relate a CK update to a myFICO score change will be very hard as well.. They are two very different score versions. I think something you disputed got pulled from scoring and is causing a score drop. Let us know if you figure it out
