i log in and it still shows a balance and account is past due.

on my credit report it shows chapter 7 discharge.

what should i do?

refer to a consumer attorney if they ask for payment?

well when i sign in it asks for a payment right away and says past due blah blah blah

Calling them on the phone is always a good start, they might have just updated their system yet - how long ago was your discharge? If they insist you owe the balance ask them where you can mail them a copy of your discharge.

I'm not sure it's a solid case though.. YOU are making the decision to login to an account that was discharged. If it's the balance you are worried about just give them a call and ask them to fix it. If you are hoping for a case then just leave it be and see if they call you for a payment. Good luck!

Its not a weird issue. You are logging into an account that still exists on their server until things are done. They arent coming after you or telling you to pay. Youre logging in and seeing it. Dont log in to it.

OP...you have no business logging into any acct anymore that was IIB. Just stop doing it, its no longer valid in your case. They won't come after you, and your online acts will be like that for awhile.

You shouldn't even be logging into them. They are not active acts. As long as your reports reflect $0bal/IIB, its good. Forget all about the acts that were IIB....dont ever log in again to them, theres no need anymore.
