Why hasn't my case closed?

My discharge was granted in Oct 2018, no asset case, but surrendered a rental property that had no value. Why is it now almost Feb 2019 and my case hasn't closed yet? My trustee gave up any rights to my rental property back in Dec basically allowing the bank to take back.

Why not ask your attny to ask your Trustee? If you do not have an attny you can ask the Trustee why he/she has not issued a final report.

My attorney is really no help, I called the clerk of the court and she basically said well no need to close right now since they haven't done a final report and I said well why not? No answer...

Why is your attorney "of no help". Thats what you paid them for. I would call back and ask your attorney to call the trustee and ask what the hold up is.
