UPDATE 1 DAY TO DISCHARGE!!!

It almost feels like Christmas! It's been a long 60 days. I'm curious to know how soon will the credit bureaus be informed of the discharge and reflect my Chapter 7 as such on my credit reports. What was your experience after Pacer updated?

The CRA's are notified by third party companies that monitor public records. It takes about the same time for the BK filing to show up as does the discharge. Give it a couple days. And congrats!

Today was my day for objection to discharge, so does that mean I will be discharged tomorrow? And congrats. I'm also hoping the CRA's update all my info quickly too. I'd like to see what effect it will have; also so I can get my federal student loans back into my IBR quickly.

Congratulations! I recently filed for bankruptcy on June 25th, haven't even done the 341 meeting yet but I'm so ready for this to be over! I have question for you if I can ask, when did you start rebuilding if you haven't been discharged yet? Best of luck to you with your rebuilding process!

My objection to discharge was yesterday as well. As of this morning, Pacer has updated twice. Once to enter an order of discharge and just a moment ago it updated to show Case Closed - Final Decree and Close Bankruptcy Case.

FINALLY!!!!

I started rebuilding while I was awaiting discharge. The first 30/60 days of waiting I spent time making sure my report was accurate. I made sure all of the accounts included in the bankruptcy reflected IIB and 0/blank balance across all of the credit bureaus. I got a significant score boost during this time as the accounts updated. After all were updated, I checked Cap1 for prequal and got the Platinum. At the same time, I got a mail offer for the Indigo( wish I would've not got this one but ). Just recently I got the Ulta card. Off to the Garden I go( skips away)

Miamor1,

It was so exciting for me. My discharge was the end of a bunch of bad things in my life. I actually went to the bankruptcy court office and got a copy of my papers with a real signature.

It took 30 days for everything to update. I did have to dispute a things, but everything was reporting as it should within 60 days.

I did get approved for 2 secured cards and a secured loan the day my bankruptcy discharged.

20 point SCORE INCREASE! WOOHOO!!

Change: Bankruptcy updated to discharged on Experian.

I wasn't expecting a score boost since all of the accounts IIB have been updated for over a month. Can't wait to see if TU or EQ get a boost as well. Scores updated in sig

Bankruptcy showing discharged on all of my reports. I received a 17 point score boost on TU. No score boost from Equifax. Updated scores in sig.

Congrats. Thats about normal for most folks. Your legally debt free now. One of the reasons I let people know dont going app crazy after the MOC's. Wait for DC and then some for all the CRA's to update up to 30 days after DC. Let the rebuild begin!
