Congrats on the discharge and fresh start! I'll leave to the folks more experienced than me as to what you should do...but what I did was call my fed student loan servicer a couple days following my discharge (for updating purposes) and they asked for a copy of the discharge order as nothing was in my file about the discharge. I emailed the discharge order the same day and a couple days later my credit report was updated and I got a score boost with the change in status. My federal loan servicer is GSMR btw. HTH

Hi, everyone! I appreciate the wealth of knowledge you share.

Our CH7 BK was discharged on September 11.

My husband's credit report has updated to show the student loans open with the total amount showing due again, and perfect payment history.

Mine, however, has not. Mine still shows derogatory (never, ever late and this was opened in 2005) with $0 balance due.

Should I dispute it with the credit bureaus, reach out to FedLoan or just let it go?

Thank you,

TeamofFish
