I am looking for a solid BK friendly credit union. I live in CA. I burned NFCU, Logix, DCU and PenFed so those are obviously not options. Any ideas?

I planned prior to filing BK, to open 2 new checking accts, 1 with a CU and another with a local/regional bank.

I simply researched local CU's and chose the one that i felt the best about.

I started direct deposit with them as well. A few months out form DC and i applied for a MC and was approved for $2500. Also look at CU's that have secured cards that graduate.

So to answer your question, research the hell out of local CUs and then simply choose. Establish that relationship with them.

CAFCU, Patelco, SDFCU and Langley are all BK friendly for credit products as long as your DTI is low with less inquiries. Good luck.

Yes you can. I'm from GA and applied one month after filing CH 7. I had to donate to one of their sponsors to join. Had to take a hard inquiry but I'm now a member. Also, you can check your vantage score daily with them. SDFCU.org

Would you happen to know anything about sdfcu personal loans and or required credit rating for approval? Or any place I can go to for personal loans? My bk discharged June 2017, I need a $10k to $14k personal loan, I was approved for a mortgage & we found out during loan commitment they coded my house short sale March 2018 & not June 2018 by mistake & it'll take months to correct & my bf is getting mortgage himself but we have to pay off his student loans 1st 🤦🏼‍♀️ (Asap) & I'm trying not to apply several places. One car loan 2/19 $20k owed never late- Cap one quicksilver $300 limit $0 balance 2 missed payments 14 months ago none since, auth user on bf cap one $500 limit ($499 owed bc our scheduled payment processed after weekend after statement printed this month🤦🏼‍♀️Already paid month-never late) students loans $25k on time no payments due 12 years, 1 charge off kohls reported as bankrupcy & charge off (trying to fix) thanks in advance!
